A beautifully elegant 1930's black and gold evening bag with brass metal chain. The brass frame has a decorative beaded rope effect on the top in black and gold and it also has a pretty pattern engraved on to the actual metal. There are black, white and gold beads on the clasp. The pattern on the bag is a stylised leaf pattern in gold metallic thread. Originally there were accent colours of green or pink on the leaves, but this has disappeared with time.

White satin lining with inner pocket and the words 'Made in France' in gold lettering stamped on. Condition: In fair vintage condition. The metallic thread on the fabric has discoloured a little with time, oxidising to leave a dull tinge in places. Some external green markings to one side.
