Known as the Irish Couturier, Sybil Connolly is most famous for her extremely rare pleated linen clothing. She used fabrics that were produced in Ireland almost exclusively, and the linen in this skirt is an example of the quality workmanship. Each garment uses nine yards of linen to make one yard of pleated linen. The pleats are all hand stitched into place. This stunning clear blue linen skirt is lined in white fabric and it is all hand finished in the couture manner.

This skirt is unlined. I have photographed this skirt with the zipper at the back, rather than the blue skirt with the zipper on the side, but obviously the choice is yours.
