This version of the lv trainer sneaker comes in supple grained calf leather with perforated detailing. The striking bicolor palette highlights the elaborate design of this model, which was inspired by vintage basketball sneakers. It features the script signature on the side and the #54 logo on the back, referencing the year 1854, when the house was founded.

A collaboration with Virgil Abloh, the Louis Vuitton Upcycle Trainer, released in 2021, features designs created from pre-existing LV trainers. This is seen in the mix and match of colors and materials. The limited colorway features a blue and white calfskin upper, suede tongue and contrasting teal shoelaces. The shoe creatively integrates Louis Vuitton and Virgil Abloh’s signatures, including handwritten annotations, loose sewing threads and an iridescent tag accessory.
